Every once in a while, we crave a change for flavors, wanting to repair something different. Foreign dishes never destroy to give me a tasty, full-flavored dish. Sometimes experimenting with recipes from other countries is accurately what we was looking for. Maybe these recipes will make we extraordinary to try them, too.

Festive tamale cake (Mexico)

• 1 crater onion, chopped

• 1 crater or 1 tiny immature pepper, chopped

• 1 tablespoon fat

• 3/4 bruise belligerent beef

• 2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce

• 1 (12-ounce) can whole heart corn, drained

• 1/2 to 1 crater olives, chopped

• 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)

• 1 tablespoon sugar

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 2 to 3 teaspoons chili powder

• Dash of pepper

• 1 1/2 cups American cheese, shredded

Cook onion and peppers in prohibited fat until tender. Add beef and brown. Add tomato sauce, corn, olives, garlic, sugarine and seasonings. Simmer 20 to 25 minutes, or until thick. Add cheese and stir until melted. Pour into greased baking dish.

Topping:

• 3/4 crater yellow cornmeal

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 2 cups cold water

• 1 tablespoon butter

Stir cornmeal and salt into cold water. Cook and stir until thick; supplement butter. Spoon over beef mixture. Bake during 375 degrees for 40 minutes.

NOTE: If desired, commanding might be widespread in strips over mixture.

Yield: 6 servings

Aloha ribs (Hawaii)

• 3 pounds spareribs

• 1/2 crater vinegar

• 1 crater cornstarch

• 1/4 crater dim molasses

• 1/4 crater soy sauce

Cut ribs into portion pieces. Bring 2 quarts H2O to boil; supplement vinegar. Add ribs; cover and move to boil. Uncover and cook 15 minutes; empty and cool. Mix cornstarch, molasses and soy salsa in vast bowl. Add ribs and massage them in reduction until good coated. Fry ribs in prohibited oil until brown.

Glaze:

• 1/2 crater sugar

• 3/4 crater vinegar

• 3/4 crater water

• 3/4 crater pineapple syrup

• 1/2 teaspoon monosodium glutamate

• 1 1/2 immature peppers, cut into strips

• 1 No. 303 can pineapple chunks, drained

Combine sugar, vinegar, water, pineapple, syrup and monosodium glutamate; move to a boil. Add ribs; cover and cook 30 minutes. Add immature peppers and pineapple for final 10 mins of cooking.

Quiche Lorraine (France)

• 1/2 bruise bacon

• 1 9-inch underdone fritter shell

• 1/4 bruise Swiss or American cheese, shredded

• 3 eggs

• 2 cups divert or light cream

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 1/16 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Fry bacon until crisp; pulp into pastry-lined cake pan. Arrange cheese over bacon. Beat eggs slightly; supplement remaining ingredients. Blend and flow over cheese. Bake during 400 degrees for 35 to 45 minutes; do not over-bake. Remove from oven while core is still soft. Cool for 5 to 10 mins before serving.

NOTE: If desired, 1/4 bruise diced ham might be used with bacon.

Yield: 6 servings

Kale autarchic (Germany)

• 1 No. 303 can kale

• 1 crater baked marinated ham, cubed

• 1/3 crater oats

• 1/8 teaspoon salt

• Pepper (optional)

In a buttered casserole, place half of kale, ham, oats and seasonings. Repeat layers. Add all extract from a kale. Cover and bake during 350 degrees for 35 to 40 mins or until oats are tender.

NOTE: Uncooked ham might be used; boost baking time to 45 minutes.

Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Chow mein (China)

• 1 bruise pork, cut in skinny strips

• 3 tablespoon salad oil

• 3 cups celery, thinly sliced

• 1 crater onion, sliced

• 1 crater uninformed mushrooms, sliced

• 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch

• 1 can beef broth

• 1/4 crater soy sauce

• 1 (1-pound) can bean sprouts, drained

• 1 (5-ounce) can H2O chestnuts, sliced

Cook pig in 1 tablespoon oil; empty well. Saute celery, onion and mushrooms in 2 tablespoons oil until proposal and crisp. Blend cornstarch and 1/4 crater water; supplement gas and soy sauce. Stir into vegetables; supplement meat, bean sprouts and H2O chestnuts. Heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Serve over food mein noodles or rice.

Yield: 4 to 5 servings

Kolachy cookies (Czechoslovakia)

• 1 tiny package cream cheese

• 1/4 bruise honeyed butter or Crisco

• 1 1/2 cups flour

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

• 2 egg yolks

• Jam or cherry cake filling

Mix all mixture solely jam in play with hands; hurl in particular tiny balls. Pat round out, withdrawal tiny hole in center; fill with favorite jam. Place on ungreased pan. Bake 10 to 15 mins during 350 degrees. Dust with powdered sugarine when done.

Yield: 2 dozen cookies
