Exclusive: Pirata Group announces the latest judgment ‘Balls’

Hong Kong’s fast expanding Pirata Group has given us a hide look of a new meatball pop-up Balls. Yes, we’ve all had a hee-haw during a name. Bet we have too. Any innuendos from here on out might or might not be intentional, your call.

Hot on a heels of a groups’ code new opening Meats and fasten a fast of plain eateries including Pirata, TokyoLima, Pici and The Optimist, this no-reservations meatball-centric grill will usually be open for 100 days on Wan Chai’s Star Street. With a colourful, retro cocktail themed interior, this 40 seater also has outdoor terrace seating. The pop-up sees Pirata Group chefs offer adult their possess meatball recipes, alongside starters and desserts.

Tasty balls embody TokyoLima cook Arturo Melendez’s recipe Bolas Latinas with Peruvian aji panka red peppers and cook Alfredo Rodriguez’s of The Optimist fishballs with squid and prawns on perfumed pilaf rice. Meats’ cook Paddy McDermott is portion up MEATSballs of rotisserie duck with blue cheese and jalapeno penchant and Pirata’s meatballs get the sub diagnosis in a Big Sub, surfaced with melted fontina cheese by cook Stefano Rossi. Pici’s cook Andrea Viglione is rolling out Ste Palle! –homemade tagliatelle with pig and beef meatballs slathered in a sharp arrabbiata sauce.

Falafel balls Free Balling – a hide rise of Pirata Group’s subsequent project

Last adult is a vegetarian Free Balling – falafel, hummus and packet yoghurt sandwiched in comfortable pita bread – a preview of Pirata Group’s ‘top secret’ new project. No doubt this arriving plan will have a Mediterranian/Middle Eastern vibe. All of a balls can also be found on a menus during a home restaurants of the chefs. 

Starters embody mozarella di buffala and beef carpaccio while desserts embody cinnamon jam Sweet Balls doughnuts served with vanilla custard salsa and Not Balls – soft-serve ice cream with rotating daily flavours. But, if we can’t choose, there’s The Juggler tasting menu, featuring dual appetisers, 3 balls and one dessert during $248 per person. We reckon it’ll be flattering tough to balls-up this dining knowledge so conduct on over and get balls to a wall!
