Call it a cold open: Roll Ice Cream in Highlandtown is open and dishing out samples in a snow

Roll Ice Cream Coffee, Highlandtown’s newest stop for sweets, is dishing out samples in a sleet as it prepares to start portion ice cream during a cold snap.

Roll non-stop Dec. 30, charity coffee and pastries, and will start offered ice cream Friday. The emporium during 3222 Eastern Ave. is charity samples of a rolled ice cream Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

New to Baltimore, rolled ice cream is a judgment secure in Southeast Asia in that a dessert is made-to-order in front of customers. The glass cream is poured and solidified on a cold surface, churned with toppings, pulpy prosaic and rolled into tubes with a scraper.

Owners Jason Werner and Jessica Reyes had hoped to open a emporium progressing final year, though construction was delayed. While ice cream might not be a seasonally suitable break in a center of winter, Werner pronounced they’re holding a timing of a shop’s opening in stride.
