If we consider an ice cream surfaced hamburger patty sounds outrageous and wrong, it’s since it is. Thankfully, it’s not a thing. But Amorino, a renouned ice cream sequence in New York City, is perplexing to make “gelato burgers” happen.
Despite some patron difficulty (reported by a sequence to The Daily Meal) a gelato burger is straight-up dessert. For $7.18 (about a cost of a SmokeShack), we can buy dual scoops of gelato sandwiched between chocolate buns with a choice of dim chocolate, pistachio, chocolate-hazelnut (read: Nutella) sauce. It’s accessible during a Upper West Side and Times Square locations.
According Amorino, it’s not super renouned yet. But we wouldn’t be astounded to find it trending on Instagram shortly enough. As for us, we’re skeptically intrigued. It sounds amazing, though if a bun is soft, does a ice cream only smash and tumble out when we try to punch it? Someone PLEASE news back.
